WASHINGTON – Mike Davis, founder and president of the Article III Project, issued the following statement after the Senate voted to confirm Judge Jeanine Pirro as the U.S Attorney for the District of Columbia:
“The Senate’s confirmation of Judge Jeanine Pirro as the next United States Attorney for the District of Columbia is a monumental step toward restoring law and order in our nation’s capital. Judge Jeanine Pirro is a true patriot for stepping away from her lucrative media career to serve in this crucial role at such a pivotal moment for DC.
“As a former prosecutor and judge, Judge Jeanine Pirro brings decades of experience, toughness, and a no-nonsense approach to fighting crime. Simply put: she is in a league of her own. There is no one more qualified, or more fearless, to take on the lawlessness that has plagued DC for far too long.
“The biggest winners today are the law-abiding residents of DC, especially low-income black families who former Biden U.S. Attorney Matthew Graves and the Biden Justice Department trapped in crime-ridden DC neighborhoods. Judge Jeanine Pirro will have the backs of all DC residents.
“And to the violent criminals, gang thugs, and corrupt actors who have run rampant in our nation’s capital: your time is up. With Judge Jeanine Pirro in charge, you’d better scatter like rats, because accountability is coming.
“Judge Jeanine Pirro brings exactly the kind of bold, decisive leadership DC desperately needs. I commend President Trump for making this nomination and the Senate for confirming it. President Trump and Judge Jeanine Pirro will Make DC Safe (and Great) Again,” said Davis.
The Article III Project (A3P) was founded by veteran GOP operative and attorney Mike Davis, who, after helping win the Senate confirmation battles of Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, developed the reputation as a “take-no-prisoners conservative eager to challenge the left with hardball tactics,” as reported in The New York Times.
A3P defends constitutionalist judges, punches back on radical assaults on judicial independence (like court-packing) and opposes judicial and other nominees who are outside of the mainstream. Davis previously served as Chief Counsel for Nominations to Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) on the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary and led the Senate confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh and a record number of circuit court judges.
