WASHINGTON — Mike Davis, founder and president of the Article III Project, issued the following statement after President Trump nominated Emil Bove to serve as a Judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit:
“President Trump has once again delivered on his promise to appoint bold, fearless, and principled judges by selecting Emil Bove for the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Emil is a constitutionalist who understands that the job of a judge is to say what the law is, not what the left wishes it were. His deep legal experience, from prosecuting terrorists in SDNY to defending President Trump from partisan lawfare, makes him uniquely qualified to serve on the federal bench.
“Emil’s nomination is a direct challenge to the rogue elements in our legal system that think they’re above the Constitution. As Acting Deputy Attorney General, he exposed and shut down a politically motivated prosecution against Mayor Eric Adams, standing up to insubordinate bureaucrats more loyal to MSNBC than the rule of law. He understands that prosecutors serve the President and the people, not their own political ambitions.
“The left fears Emil Bove because he’s effective. The establishment right resents him because he refuses to play by their rules. But that’s exactly why President Trump chose him, and exactly why the Article III Project proudly supports his nomination. Emil is the kind of judicial nominee who doesn’t flinch when it counts, and that’s what our courts desperately need.
“A3P will work tirelessly to ensure Emil is confirmed. Just as we led the charge to confirm over 230 constitutionalist judges in President Trump’s first term, including three Supreme Court justices, we will do the same in his second. The judiciary must be returned to its proper role under the Constitution, and Emil Bove will help lead the way,” said Davis.
The Article III Project (A3P) was founded by veteran GOP operative and attorney Mike Davis, who, after helping win the Senate confirmation battles of Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, developed the reputation as a “take-no-prisoners conservative eager to challenge the left with hardball tactics,” as reported in The New York Times.
A3P defends constitutionalist judges, punches back on radical assaults on judicial independence (like court-packing) and opposes judicial and other nominees who are outside of the mainstream. Davis previously served as Chief Counsel for Nominations to Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) on the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary and led the Senate confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh and a record number of circuit court judges.
