WASHINGTON — Mike Davis, founder and president of the Article III Project, issued the following statement after the Senate Judiciary Committee voted to advance Emil Bove, President Trump’s nominee for the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, to a full Senate vote:
“The Democrats’ childish behavior in the Senate Judiciary Committee meeting showed they truly have no real arguments against Emil Bove, a bold and fearless defender of the Constitution. Bove has the qualifications and temperament for the job and is unafraid to put a stop to illegal and unconstitutional attacks on the executive branch. At his hearing, Emil Bove proved that President Trump made an excellent choice in his nomination.
“The left fears Bove because he’s effective. The establishment resents him because he doesn’t play their game. But the American people need judges like Emil Bove–serious constitutionalists who apply the law as written, stand firm in the face of pressure, and don’t bend to the woke mob or media intimidation.
“As the full Senate prepares to consider his nomination, the choice is clear. Emil Bove has the intellect, the integrity, and the backbone to serve with distinction on the Third Circuit. The Article III Project urges every senator to confirm a nominee who will defend the Constitution, enforce the rule of law, and never flinch in the face of adversity. Emil Bove deserves a swift and overwhelming confirmation,” said Davis.
A3P has actively supported Emil Bove since President Trump announced his nomination. A grassroots campaign to connect constituents with their senators to confirm Bove has garnered 9,500 contacts from more than 2,500 people to date. Additionally, op-eds from A3P’s Mike Davis, Josh Hammer, and Will Chamberlain defended Bove’s credentials and nomination.
The Article III Project (A3P) was founded by veteran GOP operative and attorney Mike Davis, who, after helping win the Senate confirmation battles of Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, developed the reputation as a “take-no-prisoners conservative eager to challenge the left with hardball tactics,” as reported in The New York Times.
A3P defends constitutionalist judges, punches back on radical assaults on judicial independence (like court-packing) and opposes judicial and other nominees who are outside of the mainstream. Davis previously served as Chief Counsel for Nominations to Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) on the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary and led the Senate confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh and a record number of circuit court judges.
